Letting Myself Be Held
My Journey with SomaMoon's Tarot Container
In my seven years of working with Tarot, I’ve seen how the cards can act as a mirror, reflecting back the parts of myself I wasn’t always ready to face. Through symbolism, intuition, and a little bit of magic, Tarot has helped me build a daily practice of self-reflection and inner awareness. But even with all of that personal experience, nothing prepared me for the depth of transformation I experienced in someone else’s container.
This wasn’t just a class about learning to interpret cards or memorizing meanings, this was something much more intimate. It was the first time I allowed myself to be fully seen, held, and supported in a spiritual space. It was beautiful and incredibly challenging.
Holding Space for Vulnerability
When we think of growing or healing, it often feels like something we should do alone. Often it is more comfortable doing it alone. It feels less messy, there is not any judgement from others, you can control the pace of the healing. Healing alone has it limitations. It has its drawbacks and ceilings. That idea can be a lonely and limiting way to grow. I have had done a lot of internal work when entering Rosa’s container at Somamoon sanctuary. I knew this would be a new experience working with someone guiding me on a spiritual level but opened up more of me than I imagined. I had worked hard to cultivate my own connection to spirituality. Rosa’s container was the first time I allowed someone else to hold space for me in that deeper, more tender, spiritual sense. It was the first time I invited deeper questions from someone else who wanted to witness me and was there to support me with whatever would come up.
The container was set around tarot cards and the traditional Rider -Waite deck. Through the cards, Rosa’s intuition, and being seen in that container it allowed me be vulnerable around the feminine in a way I had never been before. I was able to cry and not feel ashamed for crying. Those tears were accepted and allowed me to open up and let go of old wounds and hurts I had around not being held and not being supported for so long. It was a deep wounding I had and I know a lot of other men have too. It is one of those wounds that can really only be healed in a group container being supported by the feminine.
It was magic and it changed me.
During that course and with the tarot I went deeper into my own unconscious mind and spiritual practices. It changed my romantic relationships and how I showed up as a partner. It created even more depth around my trust with myself, my intuition, and my ability to channel my guides. This all came by allowing myself to be held and witnessed.
Healing Through Connection
Whether it’s Tarot, therapy, or even just a heartfelt conversation with a trusted friend, there’s something profoundly healing about allowing yourself to be held in a space of non-judgment. It’s not about someone else having all the answers for you. It’s about the way they affirm that your emotions, struggles, and joys are valid.
Think about the last time you really let yourself be seen by someone else. How did it affect you? How did it change you? When you work with the right psychic, the right intuitive, the right tarot card reader, the right therapist, the right doctor, it opens more doors for you that previously were not available to you. We are humans. We all need mirrors for ourselves and we need someone to hold that mirror up to us. We need to be held. We need to be witnessed. It is how we can accelerate or growth and healing. It is why tribes and groups feel so good to us. It is why community brings us joy that we cannot explain.
You Don’t Have to Do It Alone
I want to challenge you to get the support you need. Pay attention to those coaches that keep coming across your feed. Pay attention to the online groups and communities that are hosting events. See what is resonating with you and calling you forward to join. The universe conspires for you, if you let it.

It’s a thrill to receive your reflections from the Tarot space. It works when you open to it and you are one of the most profoundly open beings I know! I am enjoying continuing to witness the evolution of you, your work, your path. I see great things ahead as you step into your own role as a facilitator and healer. ❤️❤️
